Sengoku veteran Yasubey Enomoto has signed with M-1 Global and will replace an injured Rashid Magomedov in a welterweight title bout against reigning champion Shamil Zavurov at M-1 Challenge 25 on April 28 at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The event will also feature a light heavyweight title confrontation between hometown favorite Viktor Nemkov and UFC veteran Vinny Magalhaes. Also at 205 pounds, Mikhail Zayats will lock horns with Malik Merad. Rounding out the main card will be a middleweight affair featuring two UFC veterans as Andrei Semenov goes up against Luigi Fioravanti.

Enomoto, 27, began his pro career in 2006, racking up a 3-1 record before joining Sengoku and earning three-straight wins in the SRC ring, two of which came in the first two rounds of the promotion's welterweight tournament. After fighting his way to the finals, Enomoto was submitted by Keita "K-Taro" Nakamura at SRC's “Soul of Fight” on Dec. 30, marking the Swiss fighter's first loss on Japanese soil.

Zavurov defined the word “active” in 2010 by fighting an astounding nine times last year. The Russian's only pro loss came at the hands of his countryman Magomedov, who defeated Zavurov by split decision in 2009. Zavurov has not lost since, running the gauntlet and capturing the M-1 title on Dec. 10 of last year before defending the strap successfully against Tom Gallicchio last month at M-1 Challenge 23.
