Bellator MMA’s blue-chip prospect Aaron Pico had a rough debut as a professional fighter, but since then has looked unstoppable.

The promotion will once again attempt to throw Pico (3-1) back into the deep end of the featherweight talent pool, as he draws former title challenger Leandro Higo at Bellator 206 on Sept. 29. The pairing was first reported by the OC Register.

Pico’s career has drawn massive interest before his professional mixed martial arts debut against the far more experienced Zach Freeman. Pico lost that fight by a quick submission, but has since rattled off three brutal first-round knockout victories, two of them by vicious body shots.

The 21-year-old will now face his stiffest test to date, fighting the far more experienced Higo (18-4), who will be looking to rebound from a first round submission loss to Darrion Caldwell in a March title fight.

Bellator 206 features a middleweight title fight between champion Gegard Mousasi and welterweight title holder Rory MacDonald as well as a fourth fight between rivals Quinton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva.
