Donald Cerrone turned plenty of heads during a 2011 in which he competed five times, but that personal best has just been put on notice.

“Cowboy” revealed his intention to fight six times this year following his first-round stoppage of Adriano Martins tonight at UFC on Fox 10.

“I want to set a record for the most fights in a year,” Cerrone said at the post-fight press conference. “Could I get six? That would be f---ing great. I think [fighting next in] Baltimore or Dallas would be great. There are fighters out there saying they can’t get fights. Hey, I’m your guy.”

Cerrone has finished each of his last two opponents, submitting Evan Dunham in November before knocking out Martins with a violent head kick on Saturday at Chicago’s United Center. The wins halted a 1-2 stretch for the Jackson-Winkeljohn product, a turnaround which Cerrone credits to his renewed dedication to the sport.

“I had to just figure out why I do this again,” said Cerrone. “I made more money than I had made in my whole life, and I got very comfortable and forgot the love of why I do this. I remember kickboxing around the world for $1500. I lost the love, and I’m back.”

Though it is currently unknown whom Cerrone will face in his next outing, lanky featherweight Cole Miller recently asked for a piece of the “Cowboy” following his Jan. 15 submission of Sam Sicilia. However, Cerrone said he is not yet convinced a move to featherweight is in the cards.

“Cole Miller is a turd the UFC hasn’t flushed yet,” said Cerrone. “I think the UFC is totally against me going to 145 [pounds]. I couldn’t drink delicious, full-bodied Budweisers, so that would be a lifestyle change. I don’t know if I’m committed to that. Cole Miller, win some fights and then come see me. You’re at the ass-end of a long line of people. We’ll see.”
