Cerrone would have had one fight remaining on his previous deal following his second-round technical knockout victory over Rick Story this past weekend at UFC 202. However, unlike recent Bellator signee Rory MacDonald, the Jackson-Wink MMA representative is staying put.
One of the Las Vegas-based promotion’s most active fighters, Cerrone took to Twitter on Thursday to hint that his next Octagon appearance may be in the near future:

Cerrone has competed 22 times for the UFC since coming over from the now-defunct World Extreme Cagefighting promotion in 2011. The 33-year-old Colorado native has put together a three-fight winning streak at welterweight, besting Story, Patrick Cote and Alex Oliveira in succession.
