Flyweight talent Darrell Montague has suffered an injury that will prevent him from competing at UFC 171. Justin Scoggins will replace “The Mongoose” at the March 15 event, as the undefeated prospect meets veteran Will Campuzano.

UFC officials announced the change Tuesday. UFC 171 takes place at American Airlines Arena in Dallas and is headlined by a welterweight title clash between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler. The evening’s pay-per-view card will also see onetime interim champion Carlos Condit collide with former Strikeforce ruler Tyron Woodley in another pivotal 170-pound showdown.

Just 21 years old, Scoggins has been perfect through eight pro outings and closed out last year with a successful Octagon debut, taking out Richie Vaculik in a first-round technical knockout at UFC Fight Night 33. “Tank” owns six of his eight wins by form of knockout and has gone the distance just once in nearly two years as a pro.

Campuzano posted five straight wins after receiving his 2011 UFC release, prompting the Zuffa-owned organization to re-sign the 27-year-old last year. However, the Texan was bested in his Octagon return by then-undefeated prospect Sergio Pettis, who outpointed the five-year pro in a unanimous decision at UFC 167.
