Dan Miller Joins Brother on UFC 128 Bill, Faces Catone

Dan Miller (blue glove tape): Dave Mandel | Sherdog.com

It appears that Jim Miller won’t be the only Miller fighting in Newark, N.J., on March 19, as brother Dan Miller will face Nick Catone in an all-Jersey middleweight scrap at UFC 128.

Sherdog.com has confirmed with sources close to the fight that bout agreements are in place. The matchup was first reported by MMADiehards.com.

Following the first three-fight losing skid of his career, Miller bounced back with a pair of victories in the fourth quarter of 2010. Triumphant over Joe Doerksen at UFC 124 and John Salter at UFC 118, Miller went 2-2 on the year, dropping contests to contenders Michael Bisping and Demian Maia. Prior to his loss to Chael Sonnen at UFC 98, the AMA Fight Club representative had won nine consecutive fights.

A fellow native of the Garden State, Catone bounced back from the first two losses of his career by besting Jesse Forbes via decision at UFC Fight Night 20. Since defeating Forbes one year ago, Catone has battled injuries which have kept him out of the cage and forced him to withdraw from bouts against Salter and Tomasz Drwal.

Recently made official by the promotion, UFC 128 will be headlined by a light heavyweight title showdown between champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and challenger Rashad Evans. Also on the ticket is a bantamweight tilt between former WEC champions Eddie Wineland and Urijah Faber. Miller’s brother, Jim, is rumored to square off against Kamal Shalorus in a lightweight contest.
