Last week, Invicta Fighting Championships announced that Cristiane Justino would no longer make her previously announced cut to 140 pounds for her upcoming bout against Cindy Dandois.

On Monday, the organization revealed that “Cris Cyborg” will no longer fight Dandois at all.

Justino, who had been scheduled to co-headline Invicta FC 15, will instead take part in the show’s main event as she defends her Invicta FC featherweight title against promotional newcomer Daria Ibragimova.

Unbeaten since 2005, Justino will look for her fifth consecutive knockout win inside the Invicta FC cage. The Brazilian powerhouse’s most recent victory came in July, when she wiped out unheralded challenger Faith Van Duin in just 45 seconds.

Ibragimova will enter her stateside debut on a seven-fight winning streak which stretches back to 2010. The Russian grappling specialist has scored seven of her nine professional victories by way of submission.

Originally slated to top the Jan. 16 card in Costa Mesa, Calif., strawweight champ Livia Renata Souza will instead put her belt on the line against DeAnna Bennett in the evening’s co-headliner. The full event will stream live online via UFC Fight Pass.
