Cortney Casey, Cristina Stanciu to Clash at UFC Fight Night in Sioux Falls

Cortney Casey will lock horns wih Cristina Stanciu in a strawweight bout at UFC Fight Night “Ferguson vs. Chiesa” on July 13.

Promotion officials recently announced the bout. UFC Fight Night takes place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and is headlined by a lightweight showdown pitting Tony Ferguson against Michael Chiesa. The evening’s main card will air on Fox Sports 1.

Casey, 29, is still searching for her first Octagon triumph after dropping decisions against Joanne Calderwood and Seo Hee Ham in her first two promotional appearances. The Phoenix native owns a 4-3 professional record overall, with all of her victories coming inside the distance.

Stanciu, meanwhile, suffered her first career defeat at UFC Fight Night “Rothwell vs. Dos Santos” on April 10, when she fell to Maryna Moroz via unanimous decision. The 22-year-old Romanian had been victorious in her first five professional fights outside the Las Vegas-based promotion.
