Conor McGregor Calls Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Dominant UFC 219 Win ‘Dog S—t’

Conor McGregor might have been the only person in the mixed martial arts community who was unimpressed with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s dominant performance at UFC 219.

The Dagestani grappler overwhelmed Edson Barboza for three rounds in Saturday’s co-headliner, winning on the scorecards by lopsided counts of 30-25 (twice) and 30-24. Nurmagomedov, who has been plagued by injuries and weight cut issues in recent years, improved to 25-0 overall and 9-0 in the UFC with the win.

“That Dagestani was dog s—t the other night you’s are all nuts,” McGregor wrote. “Game fully of sloppy bums asking to be slept. Pay me my worth and Kings back.”

McGregor has recently said that an MMA return could be next, but the Irishman hinted that it could take a promoter’s role or ownership stake to entice him back to the Octagon. UFC President Dana White recently expressed hope that the promotion could get McGregor to return by the summer of 2018.

Regardless of the terms, it is undoubtedly going to take a lucrative offer to lure McGregor back to the UFC after the lightweight champion reportedly earned more than $100 million to box Floyd Mayweather on Aug. 26.

For his part, Nurmagomedov was confident of his chances against either McGregor or interim 155-pound champ Tony Ferguson — or both.

“I feel that I am the most dominant fighter in the UFC today. I am 25-0 and that is the real belt. Conor and Tony are nothing. It does not matter to me which one I get next,” Nurmagomedov said following his dominant win over Barboza. “If the UFC will allow me, I will fight them both in the same night. I want the title fight in April.”
