Combate Americas Announces 7 Bouts for May 9 Event in Los Angeles
Following a one-week break, Combate Americas will return on May 9 with another Monday night show in Los Angeles.
The organization on Wednesday announced the bulk of the fight card for “Road to the Championship 5,” which will stream live on UFC Fight Pass from Exchange LA night club.

Atomweights will feature in the co-main event, as rising 105-pounder Stephanie Alba (3-0) takes on Paulina Granados (2-2).
Tachi Palace Fights veteran Art Arciniega (14-6) will attempt to snap a two-fight losing skid against Texas’ Ray Rodriguez (9-4), who enters the bout on a three-fight winning streak.
At bantamweight, Gustavo Lopez (5-1) will go for his third straight win inside the Combate Americas cage. The training partner of Bryan Caraway and Miesha Tate is set to meet ground specialist Saul Elizondo (6-6).
Unbeaten lightweight Andrew Lagdaan (2-0) will attempt to keep his “0” intact when he meets Jacob Rosales (1-2), who moves up from 145 pounds for the bout.
Anaheim-based bantamweight Mauricio Diaz (2-1) will look to provide a rude welcome for visiting Texan Cristobal Chavez Davila (1-0), while another 135-pound bout will feature two more Southern California locals, Benji Gomez (3-4) and Angel Oliveras (0-0).
Two additional preliminary bouts are expected to be announced this week, including Team Alpha Male flyweight Joseph Morales squaring off against an as-yet-unnamed opponent.
