Claudia Gadelha vs. Nina Ansaroff Announced for UFC 231 in Toronto

Claudia Gadelha will lock horns with Nina Ansaroff in a strawweight tilt at UFC 231.

The Las Vegas-based promotion revealed the pairing on Wednesday. UFC 231 takes place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Dec. 8. A main event for the pay-per-view card has not been announced.

Gadelha has won three of her last four fights. Most recently, she bounced back from a defeat at the hands of Jessica Andrade to capture a narrow split verdict against Carla Esparza at UFC 225. The former 115-pound title challenger is 5-3 in the Octagon, with other notable wins against the likes of Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Jessica Aguilar and Cortney Casey-Sanchez.

Ansaroff, the fiancee of bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes, is on a three-fight winning streak in the promotion after besting Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger, Angela Hill and Randa Markos in succession. The 32-year-old American Top Team representative is 3-2 in the UFC and 9-5 as a professional overall.
