Satellite radio just got cheaper.
CraveOnline’s Sherdog.com is pleased to announce the launch of “Cheap Seats Powered by Sherdog.com” on Sirius XM Radio. The show, hosted by veteran MMA journalists Jordan Breen and Greg Savage, will premiere Nov. 6, airing every Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. ET/1 to 3 p.m. PT on Sirius XM Sports Zone, channel 92.
“Cheap Seats” debuted on the Sherdog Radio Network in June 2012 and covers the sport of mixed martial arts with incisive eyes and minds in the gutter every Tuesday and Thursday, from 3 to 5 p.m. ET/noon to 2 p.m. PT.
"We are excited to partner up with an industry leader like Sirius XM as we continue to expand our position as the leading independent MMA media outlet,” said Sherdog.com Executive Editor and co-host of Cheap Seats Greg Savage. "This will bring two large audiences together and expand both companies reach in the ever-growing MMA community.”
The new show will serve as an extension of Breen and Savage's Sherdog Radio Network exploits, offering another two hours of incisive MMA commentary and bizarre musings. The program will be bookended by the pair's Tuesday and Thursday “Cheap Seats” broadcasts on the SRN and joins existing Sports Zone MMA programming including Sirius XM Fight Club and Tapout Radio.
“I am excited to share my unhealthy preoccupation with professional prizefighting with new, hopefully accepting ears,” says Breen. “But mostly, I am excited to host a radio show my mother can listen to in her car.”
Sherdog.com was founded by Jeff Sherwood in the mid 90’s and has grown into the world’s largest dedicated mixed martial arts media outlet. With a global staff of dedicated journalists, Sherdog.com has provided coverage of the sport’s biggest moments for almost two decades. “The Global Authority on Mixed Martial Arts” also hosts the Sherdog Fight Finder -- a comprehensive record-keeping database that encompasses the entire sport -- and the Sherdog Forums, home to hundreds of thousands of rabid MMA fans.
