UFC officials announced on Thursday that Rosa will face Octagon newcomer Kyle Bochniak in Boston on Sunday after Augusto Mendes withdrew from the featherweight contest due to injury. Mendes had replaced Jim Hettes, who was originally slated to meet Rosa at UFC Fight Night “Dillashaw vs. Cruz.”

UFC Fight Night takes place at TD Garden Arena in Boston and is headlined by a 135-pound title tilt between T.J. Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz. Rosa-Bochniak will air on the UFC Fight Pass portion of the card, which streams beginning at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.

Bochniak has competed exclusively for the CES MMA promotion during his six-bout professional tenure. The unbeaten Boston native last fought on Jan. 8, as he submitted Taylor Trahan with a first-round rear-naked choke at CES MMA 32.

Rosa, also a Boston native, is 1-2 with the Las Vegas-based promotion. Most recently, he suffered a split-decision loss to Yair Rodriguez at UFC 188 this past June. Rosa owns a 10-2 record overall.
