CES MMA 29 Weigh-in Results: Champ O’Neil, Challenger Steele on Weight

The welterweight championship main event of CES MMA 29 has been made official, as both titleholder Chuck O’Neil and challenger Dominique Steele easily made the 170-pound limit.

O’Neil, who hails from Bourne, Mass., tipped the scale right on the money at 170 pounds. “Cold Steel” looks to defend his title for the second time and extend his four-fight winning streak against Steele. A veteran of the UFC and Bellator, “Cold Steel” has found a home in CES, having competed under the New England-based promotion’s banner for his last seven fights, winning six. He last fought in January, when he knocked out Emmanuel Walo in just 11 seconds.

Steele, a Cincinnati product, is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Nick Duell in March and, like the champ, has won six of his last seven bouts. Steele weighed in officially at 169.5 pounds.

CES MMA 29 will air its main card live on AXS TV starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The event will be held inside the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I.
