This Saturday, boxing fans could quite possibly witness the first Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s final three fights.

After Mayweather enters the ring for his rematch with Marcos Maidana, the undefeated boxing star plans to fight only twice more: once in May 2015, and again in September 2015.

“I only have two more fights left. After the next two fights, I just want to build the Mayweather Promotions brand,” Mayweather said in Las Vegas on Tuesday. “Every day, you don’t feel the same, but as of right now my focus is Maidana. I can’t focus on the other two fights after that. I have to focus on Maidana as of right now. After that, we can’t say who the next two [opponents] are going to be. I’m pretty sure the next two are going to be more exciting fights. My next fight is in May and my last fight is in September. A year from now will be my last fight.”

According to ESPN.com, Mayweather's six-fight, $200 million contract with Showtime would end with the September 2015 bout if Mayweather sticks to his tentative schedule.

The Nevada Athletic Commission recently passed a unanimous motion to grant Mayweather a promoter’s license in the state.
