Boxing News: Bernard Hopkins to Fight Undefeated Sergey Kovalev on Nov. 8
49-year-old Bernard Hopkins will fight undefeated Sergey Kovalev at Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, N.J. on Nov. 8. The 12-round bout will serve as a unification fight for Hopkins' WBA, IBF 175-pound crown and Kovalev's WBO light heavyweight title.
Co-promoters of the fight, Main Events and Golden Boy Promotions, announced the finalization of the matchup on Friday. The bout will be broadcast by HBO.

Hopkins will come into the bout with a record of 55-6-2, with 32 knockouts to his name. The oldest boxer ever to win a world title has undergone a career resurgence since defeating Tavoris Cloud, Karo Murat and Beibut Shumenov in his last three fights to claim the IBF and WBA light heavyweight titles.
The fight will serve as Hopkins’ 19th overall in Atlantic City, while Kovalev has fought within the city limits on three consecutive occasions.
