Boxing Legend Manny Pacquiao Purchases Small Piece of One Fighting Championship
Manny Pacquiao is expanding his portfolio.
The 35-year-old boxer may be in the twilight of his competitive career, but that is not preventing him from planting the seeds for a life in combat sports after he decides to hang up his gloves for good. Pacquaio has reportedly purchased a small stake in Asian mixed martial arts promotion One Fighting Championship. Details of the acquisition were not made public.

“I'm pretty pumped,” Cui told Yahoo Sports. “There are a ton of reasons why I'm pretty excited about this. Obviously, Manny Pacquiao is a global sports icon and having him as a part of our organization as a shareholder and promoting One FC and promoting the sport is huge for the sport in the region. It promotes awareness and growth.”
One FC will hold its next event Aug. 29 in Dubai, United Aram Emirates. Pacquiao will look to defend his WBO welterweight title on Nov. 22 against Chris Algieri in Macao, China.
