Bowling-Njokuani, Masvidal-Means, 2 More Lightweight Bouts Added to UFC on Fox 7
A quartet of lightweight confrontations has been added to the UFC on Fox 7 fight bill, promotion officials announced Thursday.
Former Strikeforce talents Roger Bowling and Jorge Masvidal will square off with Anthony Njokuani and Tim Means, respectively. Meanwhile, “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes” winner Norman Parke will face the undefeated Jon Tuck, and “TUF 13” runner-up Ramsey Nijem will meet “TUF 15” alum Myles Jury.

Bowling, 30, makes his UFC debut having gone just 3-3 in his last six fights, most recently falling to Tarec Saffiedine in August by unanimous decision. Njokuani, 32, holds the same record in his last half-dozen bouts and was last seen on July 11 losing a unanimous decision to Rafael dos Anjos.
Masvidal has won three of his last four fights, rebounding from a failed title bid against Melendez to take a split decision from Justin Wilcox in his lone appearance of 2012. Means has not lost since March 2010, posting a 10-0-1 record in his last 11 bouts. “The Dirty Bird” has gone 2-0 in the Octagon, most recently finishing Justin Salas with an impressive volley of strikes on June 8 at UFC on FX 3.
Parke, 26, joined the “Smashes” cast on the strength of a six-fight winning streak and battled his way to the live finale, where he thoroughly outpointed cast mate Colin Fletcher to win the reality show in December. Tuck, 28, made his promotional debut at November’s UFC on Fuel TV 6, taking a unanimous verdict from Chinese competitor Tiequan Zhang.
Following his first-round knockout at the hands of Tony Ferguson at the “TUF 13” finale, Nijem rifled off three wins in his return to 155 pounds, besting Daniel Downes, C.J. Keith and Joe Proctor. Jury has gone 2-0 in his young Octagon career, submitting Chris Saunders at the “TUF 15” finale before outpointing “TUF 12” runner-up Michael Johnson on Dec. 29 at UFC 155.
