After falling to Zach Freeman via submission in 24 seconds in his promotional debut, Pico has bounced back to score a pair of first-round knockouts in his last two Bellator MMA appearances. Most recently, the 21-year-old Californian needed just 37 seconds before finishing Shane Krutchen with a body punch at Bellator 192 on Jan. 20.
A veteran of 27 professional fights, Morrison enters the matchup with Pico on a four-fight winning streak. The 32-year-old Okanogan, Wash., native has competed for a number of organizations since beginning his career in 2007, most notably a seven-bout stint with Russian promotion M-1. “American Bulldog” owns a 19-8 record that includes six triumphs by KO/TKO and seven via submission.
