Bellator 155 Weigh-in Results: Rafael Carvalho, Melvin Manhoef Cleared for Title Tilt

The middleweight title will be on the line in the main event of Bellator 155 Friday night when the California-based MMA promotion takes the journey up north to beautiful Boise, Idaho. Brazilian knockout artist Rafael Carvalho will make the first defense of his 185-pound crown, but trying to wrest the belt from him his mitts will be Surinamese-Dutch bomber Melvin Manhoef.

At Thursday’s weigh-ins, both main event combatants easily made weight. The challenger was up on the scale first and Manhoef nailed it, officially weighing 185 pounds. “The Blessed” followed suit by clocking in at 184.3, giving the green light for their highly-anticipated title tilt.

Former two-time Bellator MMA featherweight champ Pat Curran looks to make it two wins in a row after losing three of four when he takes on Georgi Karakhanyan in the co-feature. “Paddy Mike” knows he can ill-afford a loss at this juncture if he’s to reclaim his 145-pound title and he looked as ready as ever on the scale. Curran came in at 145.6 pounds while Karakhanyan, who has been on the threshold of greatness for a few years now, was equally ready; he weighed 145.1 pounds.

Bellator 155 goes down from inside the CenturyLink Arena in Boise. Spike will televise the main card beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with the prelims streaming live on Spike.com at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
