Greg Scott vs. Gaston Reyno

Round 1

Scott is aggressive with forward pressure to start the contest, moving his opponent back and winding up on big, single punches. Reyno retreats and probes the distance, looking to counter the reckless Scott. Scott finally tracks Reyno back to the cage, but with his back on the fence, Reyno tags him with counters and kicks to the body. Getting desperate to get the fight on the floor, Scott dives into a single-leg takedown without much of a set-up and winds up deep in a high-elbow guillotine from half guard. The Uruguayan cranks the choke and gets his elbow up even higher. Scott is trapped and forced to tap out.

Bobby Cooper vs. Pablo Villaseca

Round 1

The compact Villaseca closes the distance quickly, throwing wild kicks and punches from the southpaw stance. Villaseca doubles and triples up with his right hand as he attacks Cooper, before winding up on more windmilling lefts. Cooper sticks his jab out but can't land his right cross behind it. Villaseca rushes with another volley of punches, which Cooper dances around before unloading a left hook that glances the Chilean and knocks him off balance. Villaseca scrambles off his back and gets to top position on a charging Cooper, but can't hold him down. Cooper snakes him the fence, fighting a single-leg takedown. Villaseca gets a hold of Cooper's other leg, dumps him and punches along the fence. Cooper gets to his knees and scoots him, eating punches and knees. Villaseca pins him to the fence, gets a front headlock and unloads with knees to the head. Cooper posts his hand on the mat to freeze Villaseca, then lifts it up and down a few times. Trying to time his attack, Villaseca hits him while he's downed. Referee Rob Hinds steps in and gives Cooper a moment to recover, while warning him about “playing the game” and posting his hand up and down on the mat. Cooper has his wits about him and they restart with gusto. Villaseca attacks with more winging punches and kicks, allowing Cooper to crack him with a few stern counters before the bell.

Round 2

Villaseca strikes his way to the clinch, runs Cooper to the fence and takes him to the mat with double underhooks. Cooper again uses the fence to stand up, but Villaseca pins him against the cage and peppers him with knees to the legs. Villaseca gets Cooper's right leg, elevates and dumps him, but again can't keep him down, clinging to his opponent with over-unders from the back. Villaseca shoots another single and goes right into a guillotine, which Cooper uses to sweep to mount briefly. Villaseca escapes the choke and mount, but Cooper retains top control. Cooper grinds his head into Villaseca's jaw, occasionally throwing punches. Villaseca turns his hips for an armbar, then a triangle, but Cooper breaks his posture and settles in closed guard. Villaseca kicks Cooper away and the American steps away, letting Villaseca stand with under 90 seconds to go. Villaseca lands a lead right, Cooper tags him with a left. Cooper steps in with a knee that backs Villaseca up. Left cross-right hook from Villaseca snaps Cooper's head back. Cooper marches at Villaseca before the bell, but can't land.

Round 3

The local Cooper is active with his jab, but it's not finding its target as Villaseca dances around it and lands outside low kicks. Villaseca changes stances and misses a spinning hook kick. Cooper is stalking Villaseca, who is content to counter with flurries now. Cooper tepidly jabs at the Chilean fighter, who urges him to throw with conviction. Clean jab for Cooper this time. Villaseca runs forward with labored swings.

Neither man is landing now. With two minutes to go, Villaseca throws an inside low kick that cracks Cooper on the cup. Cooper winces, Rob Hinds calls time, but the American is not seriously damaged, so we're back and fighting in no time. On the restart, Villaseca backs Cooper up with a glancing rush of punches. Villaseca kicks low and Cooper knocks him off balance with a right cross counter. Cooper's jab lands smack on Villaseca's right eye. Cooper keeps jabbing as Villaseca storms him with hooks, but Villaseca eventually draws Cooper into a gunfight for the last three seconds of the contest.

Bubba Jenkins vs. Joe Wilk

Round 1

Wilk probes the distance early on with leg kicks. Jenkins looks to box and counter him, but Wilk keeps a high guard and continues to crack him with outside leg kicks. Jenkins fades back, then explodes with a right hand. Wilk looks for a takedown but Jenkins easily stands him up and plows him to the ground with a knee tap. Wilk looks for an armbar, but it doesn't concern Jenkins, who shuts his hips down, then gets to pounding. Jenkins gets to half guard behind some punches and elbows, pressuring Wilk and crossfacing him with vigor. Heavy flurry of left hands from Jenkins forces Wilk to scramble. “The Nose” tries for a heel hook, then a kneebar, but Jenkins escapes and jumps right back into half guard on top. Jenkins punches away until the bell.

Round 2

Jenkins flashes his hands, then a spinning back kick before shooting a double-leg takedown and putting Wilk right back on the mat. Jenkins backs his man up all the way to the fence, where Wilk looks for a kimura. Jenkins escapes and pins Wilk's left hand under his own body, then opens up with a torrent of right hands. Wilk is trapped on the bottom, using his right arm to cover up with no chance of escaping. The former NCAA Division 1 wrestling champion keeps whacking away until referee Rob Hinds has no choice but to rescue Wilk.

Augusto Sakai vs. Daniel Gallemore

Round 1

Both men stand close in the center of the cage, circling one another. Sakai touches Gallemore with an outside low kick then continues to circle. Gallemore decides to kick, but gets his leg caught and punched in the face for his effort. Sakai keeps circling and kicking Gallemore's lead leg. Neither man too eager to use his hands until the halfway point of the round, when Sakai tags Gallemore with an overhand right. Gallemore absorbs it and keeps pressing forward, throwing outside leg kicks of his own now. Gallemore lands a straight right that instigates a moment of free swinging, with both heavyweights missing by miles. Sakai teeps Gallemore to the body, then snaps his head from side-to-side with a pair of hooks. Sakai starting to land heat now, forcing Gallemore to barrel into him defensively. Gallemore finds no quarter inside, as Sakai drills him with clinch knees and forces him to separate. The Brazilian continues to casually kick at Gallemore's legs and body until the round ends.

Round 2

The Emporia, Kan., native attempts a low sweep kick of all things, knocking Sakai off-balance but not off of his feet. Sakai remains patient, circling around waiting for his chance to bomb on Gallemore. Sakai throws more teeps to the body to back Gallemore off. Sakai lands a clubbing overhand right, Gallemore tries to respond with one of his own but gets blocked. Sakai trots forward with more kicks to the body, then an overhand right. Gallemore tries to counter, swinging so hard he nearly topples over.

The next Sakai body kick, Gallemore throws another hard-as-he-can-throw shot, just narrowly missing its target. Sakai lands a low kick, prompting a Gallemore clinch, where both men dig into the other's ribs with hooks. Gallemore keeps Sakai in range with his back to the fence, but is kept at bay by Sakai's kicks and threatening counters. Gallemore keeps trying to load up his right hand, but whenever he uncorks one, he eats more punches and kicks from the Brazilian. Front kick-right cross lands nicely for Sakai, but the pace crawls to the round's conclusion.

As soon as Gallemore goes back to his corner, he tells his chief second that he can't see and “is done.” The corner signals to referee “Big” John McCarthy that their fighter is done and McCarthy waves it off.

Alex Huddleston vs. Javy Ayala

Round 1

The heavyweights clinch almost immediately, with Huddleston looking to land some knees inside. Ayala is more aggressive, charging forward, until he runs face-first into a jab from Huddleston. Ayala falls flat onto his back and Huddleston pounces all over him with punches and hammerfists. Ayala decides to spin for a kneebar, which only gets him wailed on by the lanky Huddleston, who then takes Ayala's back in the blink of an eye and sinks in a rear-naked choke. Ayala tries to roll forward and spike his opponent to escape, but spikes himself instead, ringing his own bell badly. Fortunately, Ayala still maintains his wits enough to tap out.

Iony Razafiarison vs. Bryanna Fissori

Round 1

Razafiarison kicks to the body behind her jab until Fissori clinches. Razafiarison tries to hip toss her, but Fissori bails out, lands on top and takes full mount on the scramble. Razafiarison is pinned against the fence, so Fissori lands a flurry of right hands, then elbows. Razafiarison can't explode out and winds up giving up her back, allowing “The Pink Ranger” to sink both of her hooks in. Fissori gets a half nelson briefly to help stretch Razafiarison out. The Hawaiian smashes her French foe in the ears, pulls her back and looks for the rear-naked choke. Razafiarison explodes to top position, but Fissori sweeps her immediately and gets top position right back. Razafiarison shrimps away and regains her feet. They jockey for position with over-unders until Fissori ducks under and tackles Razafiarison to the mat with just under two minutes to go. She can't land any ground-and-pound or advance position before Razafiarison gets back to the cage, but the Hawaiian keeps her woman glued to the fence without any offense of her own until the round ends.

Round 2

Razafiarison is very cautious on the feet now, following Fissori's grappling dominance in the first. She finally lands a right hand, then glances Fissori with a spinning back fist afterwards. The pace has slowed considerably. Razafiarison steps in with a crisp left hand, then executes a headlock throw. Again, however, Fissori sweeps her and takes top position with ease at the halfway mark of the round and the fight. As Fissori tries to pass, Razafiarison sweeps her briefly before they come together in the clinch along the fence. Fissori gets position and pins Razafiarison against the fence, knuckling her with short punches until Razafiarison dings her with a knee to the body. Razafiarison lands a kick to the body and Fissori eats it while trying to catch the leg. Fissori ends up getting tossed by Razafiarison as she tries to take her foe off of her one leg.

Round 3

The featherweights come together in the clinch and once more, Razafiarison goes for a throw, fails and gives up top position to Fissori. Razafiarison tries to throw punches from her back as Fissori postures up, but neither woman is doing real damage here.

Fissori turns up her volume and output, landing soft shots to the ribs and head. Razafiarison is landing just as well if not moreso from her back, but naturally, can't generate any power. Fissori gets to half guard with 90 seconds to fight. The French fighter tries to explode and kick Fissori away, but Fissori scrambles into full mount. Fissori creeps her base high and punches away, mixing in elbows and hammerfists. However, She can't generate enough power to polish off Razafiarison in the final 30 seconds.

Jeimeson Saudino vs. Aaron Ely

Round 1

Saudino flicks a teep at Ely's face, just missing serious contact, then returns moments later with a stern jab. Hard outside low kick for Saudino, who shoots under Ely's punch follow-up and hits a takedown. Ely grabs an arm-in guillotine and rolls into top position, trying to take full mount. Saudino pushes Ely's hips away and keeps him elevated with a partial butterfly guard, relieving pressure on the guillotine and escaping. Ely tries to bull into a takedown now and Saudino goes for his own guillotine along the cage. The Brazilian closes his guard and patiently tries to lock it up, but Ely escapes. Saudino shows a triangle choke, but Ely escapes, passes under his legs and takes his back with one hook in. Fun back-and-forth grappling exchanges. Ely slowly boxes Saudino's ears, sneaking his second hook and rolling him over. Saudino manages to remove the hook, but “The Cyborg” stays heavy on top, landing hard left hands on the Brazilian. Saudino tries to push Ely away, but Ely keeps moving and moving, passing to side control and hunting for an armbar.

Round 2

Ely trots forward behind his jab, doubling it up and trying to line Saudino up for right hands behind it.

He rams a hard jab into Saudino's mouth, then glances him a right hand. Saudino doesn't like it, so he shoots and Ely gets a quick front headlock, then adjusts it to a guillotine. Saudino tries to put his hands on the mat to stop himself from getting knees, but winds up deeper in the guillotine. Ely uses his left leg to grapevine Saudino's right leg, threatening to take him down while still choking him. Saudino is panicked, caught between a rock and a hard place, trying to tap out to the guillotine while trying to not fall onto his head from the takedown. Impressive submission finish for Aaron Ely.

Pat Curran vs. Emmanuel Sanchez

Round 1

Curran lands a quick uppercut-hook combo that gets the featherweight contest started. Sanchez returns fire, touching with a right hook and an outside low kick. “Paddy Mike” spins inside of a Sanchez punch and slings a left hook counter that misses. A Curran high kick is blocked by his former training partner Sanchez, now based out of Roufusport. Sanchez reaches with a jab-low kick and brushes Curran's cup, but there's no harm and no foul as they touch gloves and quickly resume fighting. Sanchez continues to chase with reaching punches and low kicks, while the former Bellator champion dances around the cage looking to counter. Curran lands a jab, Sanchez returns with two outside low kicks, and Curran lands a clean right hook moments after. Feint by Sanchez allows him to crack Curran with a hard outside low kick. Hard overhand right for Sanchez just grazes its target. Curran rocks Sanchez's head up with another quick, countering uppercut, then rips him with a three-piece right behind it. Lukewarm outside low kicks for Sanchez land as Curran rides out the round.

Round 2

Both men maintain the same strategies in round two, with Sanchez jabbing and kicking low, while Curran looks to counter. Curran steps in with a flurry and the pair clash heads, ripping a cut open above Sanchez's left eye. Referee John McCarthy calls time, diagnoses it as an accidental clash of heads, then calls for a consult with the ringside doctor. Sanchez is cleared to go, gets wiped up and the fight is back on. Upon resuming, Curran lets go with three quick punches, then hits a swift single-leg takedown in the middle of the cage. Curran tries to force a pass up the middle and Sanchez pushes his hips away, scrambling free to his feet. “Paddy Mike” lands a pair of hooks stepping into the pocket, but Sanchez gets a right hook of his own in. Sanchez just can't impact Curran with his kicks and the former Bellator 145-pound titlist continues to dart in with combinations and escape. Sanchez chases Curran back with a kick, then dives into his opponent with a flying knee to the body. “El Matador” knocks Curran down with an off-balance punch behind a volley of kicks, but Curran gets to his feet and retreats. Sanchez is starting to pick up his volume, but with 30 seconds in the round, Curran goes from a single-leg takedown to high-crotch lift, dumps Sanchez and grinds out the period.

Round 3

Sanchez renews his aggression to start the final frame, but after landing his leg kicks, Curran counters him with a clean left hand and escapes his pressure. The Roufusport fighter continues to press forward, but at the one-minute mark, Curran changes levels and dumps him on the mat again. Curran punches and elbows to the head and body, passing to half guard.

As he tries to advance further, Sanchez shrimps away and gets to his knees, showing his back. “Paddy Mike” gets his back from a brief second, but can't hold the position. Sanchez scrambles back to his feet, but as soon as he gets close to Curran, he gets dumped on the mat again. Curran hops on Sanchez's back quickly this time, searching for the rear-naked choke until “El Matador” shakes him off with 30 seconds to fight. Sanchez pins Curran to the fence, with Curran landing knees to the body. Sanchez tries to rip knees of his own as Curran digs with uppercuts to the chin and hooks to the body.

Joe Schilling vs. Hisaki Kato

Round 1

The southpaw Kato advances on Schilling, who circles the outside with a high guard. Schilling gradually works his way into the center of the cage and holds the position while Kato tests him with outside low kicks. Schilling responds in kind, backing Kato up to the fence for a moment. Kato blocks a right roundhouse kick upstairs from Schilling, then pushes him back to the fence with a rush of punches. Schilling avoids any real damage, but the Japanese fighter ducks under Schilling's countering punches, grabs a double-leg takedown and puts Schilling on the canvas against the cage. Kato lands some short punches from inside Schilling's guard before Schilling throws up an armbar attempt, giving Kato a real chance to throw heat on top. Referee Rob Hinds warns Schilling about putting his toes in the cage and Kato for grabbing the cage moments later. Kato spins back into top position and gets to half guard, chipping away on Schilling. Kato tries to lurch forward lazily into full mount, but Schilling stops him, still giving the Japanese fighter another moment to posture up and deliver real punches. With 10 seconds to go in the round, Kato gets full mount, Schilling rolls to escape and while he gets back to his feet, he takes punches from Kato the entire way.

Round 2

Schilling starts the second stanza with a front kick on the advancing Kato. Kato patiently looks for an opportunity to counter as Schilling starts to up his output with his punches and kicks. Schilling advances on the karate stylist, but Kato backs him up, then lunges forward with a quick, streamlined Superman punch. Schilling tries to hit him out of the air with a left hand of his own, but Kato's left hand gets through, detonating on his chin. Schilling is stiff as a board as he hits the canvas with his arms frozen in place, his body bouncing off of the mat. Kato is on top of him in a heartbeat with a coffin nail punch before referee Rob Hinds can rescue the wrecked Schilling.

Incredible knockout for Daidojuku champion Hisaki Kato in his American debut, easily among the finest of 2015 so far.

David Rickels vs. John Alessio

Round 1

The lightweights find each other in the center of the cage quickly, letting off quick jabs and right hands before Alessio clinches and pushes Rickels to the fence. Rickels turns him around and rocks him with a volley of knees in the clinch. Alessio backs away, but is under major fire from the “Caveman.” Alessio steps away and tries to regain his werewithal, but Rickels stays on him with punches and kicks to the body. Alessio falls back to the fence again under two-handed fire from Rickels, who is beating him down towards a stoppage.

Alessio turtles and right as Rickels is sealing the deal with punches and knees to the body, he dives into Alessio's head with an illegal knee. Referee Rob Hinds dives in immediately as Alessio protests, pausing the contest and warning Rickels, who is fully aware that he screwed up. Hinds brings in the doctor to take a look at Alessio, who sits on the canvas, taking his time to recover. Hinds asks Alessio plainly if he can continue and Alessio avoids a committal answer and Hinds tells him, “I'm going to take that as a no,” and the fight is stopped. Hinds deems the illegal knee an accidental act, rendering the bout a No Contest.

Cheick Kongo vs. Alexander Volkov

Round 1

Kongo lands a right cross and clinches Volkov in pursuit of a takedown, but gets rebuffed and eats knees to the body for his trouble. Volkov tags Kongo with two kicks to the body, but Kongo responds with an overhand right. Volkov with a nifty left body kick-right cross-right low kick combo that stumbles Kongo up. Kongo charges in with a slow double-leg attempt and the Russian dings him in the head with a right cross as he does so. Kongo barrels through anyway, struggling to suck the spindly Volkov off of his feet with brute force. Finally, Kongo elevates the Russian and slams him at the midway point of the round. The UFC veteran pounds Volkov to the body with punches and elbows, getting to half guard before Volkov rolls forward into a takedown attempt. Kongo sprawls, then drives for another takedown of his own, slamming Volkov down into full guard with just over a minute left. Kongo hammers away with both elbows, but Volkov blocks with his arms. Kongo keeps bashing away with the left elbow until Volkov is slashed open on the forehead, bleeding on the canvas. Seeing the blood dripping from the Russian's hairline, Kongo goes to work on the cut with more elbows until the bell ends his charge.

Round 2

Kongo throws a few conservative, pawing punches until dropping for another double and putting Volkov on the floor beside the fence. Kongo sits on Volkov's leg in half guard, pinning his left wrist and pounding him. Volkov feebly looks for a kimura on Kongo's left arm while being pounded to no avail. Hard right hand by Kongo followed by a sharp left elbow. Volkov clings around Kongo's torso hoping to abate the punishment, but can't slow Kongo's roll. After releasing his grip, Volkov nearly shrimps away to the fence, but Kongo smothers him and snuffs it out. Volkov grabs another another kimura attempt while Kongo slams elbows into his ribs. The former Bellator heavyweight champion is helpless on bottom, being further bloodied and beaten until the round ends.

Round 3

Kongo walks into a knee in pursuit of another takedown, but after absorbing it and powering through, it elevates the lanky Russian once more and slams him to the mat. It's all Kongo against the fence, slashing at Volkov with elbows from full guard. Volkov gets wrist control to halt Kongo's beating, throwing his long legs up to complicate matters.

Kongo diesels his way through Volkov's attempted offense, punching him in the face and re-establishing in full guard. Volkov does enough to tangle up the tired Kongo to earn a standup from referee John McCarthy, but Kongo takes him right back down with just over a minute to fight. Volkov holds onto a weak guillotine before Kongo powers out and stacks him against the fence. Kongo pounds away for the final minute as Volkov tries to desperately hammerfist him from the bottom.
