Bellator 133 Medical Suspensions: Shlemenko, Manhoef, Budd Facing 6 Months Off

Alexander Shlemenko finished Melvin Manhoef during the second round of their middleweight bout at Bellator 133 on Feb. 13, and both men came out of the bout facing six-month medical suspensions.

The California State Athletic Commission on Tuesday released a full list of medical suspensions from the event to Sherdog.com. The card took place at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

Shlemenko faces time off due to a back injury, as well as a possible fracture of the big toe on his right foot. Manhoef was suspended for the same amount of time for a mandatory rest period. After Manhoef’s knockout loss to Joe Schilling at Bellator 131, he was given a suspension of 30 to 45 days from CSAC.

Additionally, Julia Budd could be facing six months on the sideline pending medical clearance of an injury to her foot, which she suffered in her unanimous decision triumph over Gabrielle Holloway.

Alexander Shlemenko: 180 days for back injury and possible fracture to right big toe/foot, must be cleared by doctor

Melvin Manhoef: 180 day mandatory rest period

Emilio Chavez: seven-day mandatory rest period
