Both Johnson and Ivanov were cleared to compete at Thursday’s pre-fight weigh-ins, checking in at 245.3 and 255.7 pounds, respectively.
Bellator 116 takes place at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in
Temecula, Calif., and airs live on Spike TV. The televised portion
of the card will also see former heavyweight champion Alexander
Volkov (235.7) take on Siala-Mou
Siliga (264.9) in the other tournament semifinal.
Additionally, Nathan Coy (170.6) will collide with Adam McDonough (170.9) to decide the first Season 10 welterweight finalist, while Joe Pacheco (185.9) battles Brandon Halsey (185.8) in the middleweight round-of-four.
The event will also showcase the final fight of Vladimir Matyushenko’s (205.5) long career, as the former UFC title contender and IFL champion takes on another Octagon alumnus in Joey Beltran (204.5).
