Bellator 116 Gets Johnson-Ivanov, ‘Mighty Mo’-Volkov Heavyweight Tourney Semifinals

A pair of Season 10 heavyweight tournament semifinals will highlight the Bellator 116 lineup.
Lavar Johnson meets Blagoi Ivanov, and Siala-Mou Siliga squares off against Alexander Volkov at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., on April 11, the promotion announced on Thursday. The evening’s main card will also feature a welterweight tournament semifinal between Nathan Coy and Adam McDonough as well as a light heavyweight clash pitting Joey Beltran against Vladimir Matyushenko.
All four heavyweights earned their spots in the bracket’s final four with victories at Bellator 111. Johnson stopped Ryan Martinez inside a round; Ivanov outpointed Rich Hale; “Mighty Mo” submitted Peter Graham with a third-round arm-triangle choke and Volkov knocked out Mark Holota in 81 seconds.
