Bellator 114 Weigh-In Results: Shlemenko, Ward Cleared for Middleweight Title Headliner

Alexander Shlemenko will defend his middleweight title as expected tomorrow night, as both champion and challenger were given the green light at Thursday’s Bellator 114 weigh-ins.

Shlemenko tipped the scales at 184.8 pounds ahead of his third title defense, while challenger Brennan Ward checked in at 184.4.

Bellator 114 takes place Friday at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, and will also showcase the first semifinal of the Season 10 middleweight tournament, as UFC veteran Kendall Grove (185) takes on former title challenger Brett Cooper (185.5).

Additionally, the featherweight tournament field will be whittled from four men to two, when Desmond Green (145.8) meets Will Martinez (145.5) and Daniel Weichel (145.9) collides with Matt Bessette (145.6).

Prior to the evening’s Spike TV-broadcast main draw, the preliminary card streams live on Spike.com, highlighted by Strikeforce alum Justin Wilcox (155.1) taking on Season 8 tournament vet Jason Fischer (155.7).
