Lobov (13-14-1, 1 NC) is currently on a two-fight losing streak with his most recent coming via unanimous decision to Andre Fili back in October. Lobov acknowledged that he wouldn’t be surprised if the UFC decided to cut him.
Caceres (13-11, 1 NC), who has lost three of his last four bouts, is coming off a split decision loss to Wang Guan at UFC Fight Night 122 in November.
Both fighters will be looking to put on a good performance and taste victory if they hope to remain on the UFC roster.
UFC 223 is headlined by a lightweight championship bout between current interim champion Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov on April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
