Anthony Birchak vs. Dileno Lopes Added to UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on July 7

A bantamweight showdown pitting Anthony Birchak against Dileno Lopes has been added to the UFC Fight Night card in Las Vegas on July 7.

Promotion officials announced the pairing on Friday. UFC Fight Night takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and is headlined by a lightweight title tilt between Rafael dos Anjos and Eddie Alvarez. The event will air in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.

Birchak, 29, has lost two of his three Octagon appearances. Most recently, he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Brazilian prospect Thomas Almeida at UFC Fight Night “Belfort vs. Henderson 3.” The Tucson, Ariz., native is 12-3 as a professional overall, with 10 wins coming inside the distance.

Lopes has won 18 of his 20 pro bouts but came up short in his promotional debut, dropping a unanimous verdict to Reginaldo Vieira at UFC 190 last August. The 28-year-old Brazilian has finished 12 of his victories via tapout.
