All UFC Fight Night ‘Maia vs. LaFlare’ Drug Tests Come Back Clean

There were no positive drug tests at UFC Fight Night "Maia vs. LaFlare."

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) revealed on Wednesday to Sherdog.com that all 24 athletes competing on the March 21 card tested negative for anabolic steroids, diuretics, masking agents and cannabinoids.

In addition, six fighters were randomly chosen and tested for erythropoietin (EPO), and all of those results came back negative, as well. All of the drug screenings were conducted in a World Anti-Doping Agency accredited lab, according to CABMMA.

UFC Fight Night “Maia vs. LaFlare” took place at Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro and saw Demian Maia capture a five-round unanimous decision triumph against Ryan LaFlare in the evening’s welterweight headliner.
