After dropping a split decision to Ildemar Alcantara in his promotional debut, Albert Tumenov has been on a roll in the Octagon.
The 23-year-old Russian earned his third straight victory on Saturday night, outpointing local favorite Nicholas Musoke in a preliminary welterweight contest at UFC on Fox 14 in Stockholm. Tumenov started slowly, as his opponent consistently connected with hard kicks to the body in the opening frame.

“Everything is good, everything is great. I’m feeling so good after the win,” he said. “The plan was to move around and to jab a lot and to keep control of the cage and we did everything the way we were supposed to, according to the plan.”
In addition to his win over Musoke, Tumenov has authored first-round knockouts over Anthony Lapsley and Matt Dwyer during his tenure with the Las Vegas-based promotion. Now, he wants to take a step up in competition.
“I want to move up the rankings right now. I want to fight top fighters; top 15 at least,” Tumenov said. “Specifically I would like to fight Rick Story. I have a lot of respect for him. I think he’s a good fighter and me and him would make an exciting fight; we’d put on a show.”
A 17-time UFC veteran, Story is coming off a five-round unanimous decision triumph over acclaimed prospect Gunnar Nelson in a Fight Night headliner on Oct. 4. The 30-year-old MMA Lab representative currently does not have a fight booked.
