10-Time UFC Veteran Ramsey Nijem Finds New Home with WSOF

After making it to the finals of “The Ultimate Fighter 13” and fighting for the UFC a total of 10 times, Ramsey Nijem recently found himself without a promotional home. The Skrap Pack lightweight was released by the UFC following back-to-back losses and hadn’t competed since falling to Andrew Holbrook at UFC on Fox 16 in July 2015.

On Thursday, Nijem announced on his official Instagram account that he has signed on with Las Vegas-based MMA promotion World Series of Fighting.

“My journey is my own and I'm excited to add to it,” he posted. “I was a ‘TUF’ finalist at 22, by my 25th birthday I was a veteran of a top organization. I have experienced extreme highs and lows only to grow into the martial artist I am today. At 28 years old I'm signing with World Series of Fighting to continue my journey.”

Nijem scored three impressive stoppage wins on the popular reality television show but he came up short against Tony Ferguson at the “TUF 13” finale. He bounced back from the Ferguson knockout loss with three straight wins, but he closed his tenure in the Octagon with a 2-4 record.

After more than a year out of action, Nijem is ready to embark on the second phase of his MMA career. There is no currently word on when he will make his WSOF debut.
