This Month’s MMA Birthdays: Angela Lee Turns 25

Building blocks are prized commodities in mixed martial arts, and One Championship appears to have one in Angela Lee. She turns 25 on July 8.

Lee has spent her entire 12-fight career with the Singapore-based organization. She made her debut as a teenager in 2015, rattled off five consecutive submission victories and captured the inaugural One Championship women’s atomweight title a little more than a year later. Lee moved to 9-0 before she suffered her first pro setback—she failed in her bid to become a simultaneous two-division champion in a defeat to strawweight titleholder Jingnan Xiong—and now sits at a more than respectable 10-2. She last appeared at One Championship Century Part 1, where she avenged her loss to Xiong and retained the atomweight crown with a fifth-round submission via rear-naked choke.
