Dustin Poirier evened the series with Conor McGregor in emphatic fashion.

More than six years after McGregor stopped Poirier inside of a round to launch himself to stardom, “The Diamond” enacted his revenge, defeating the Irish star via technical knockout 2:32 into the second round of their UFC 257 headlining encounter at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday night. While the victory could have Poirier in the thick of the Ultimate Fighting Championship title discussion at 155 pounds, McGregor will have some soul searching to do following his latest defeat.

Here is a by-the-numbers look at UFC 257, with statistics courtesy of UFCStats.com.

19: Career UFC triumphs for Poirier, tying him with Andrei Arlovski, Rafael dos Anjos and Diego Sanchez for seventh most in UFC history.

48: Significant strikes landed by Poirier. McGregor, meanwhile, landed 29. “The Diamond” held a 17-to-15 edge in Round 1 before picking up the pace in the second stanza, where he outlanded the Irishman by a 31-to-14 count.

18: Significant leg strikes landed by Poirier. By comparison, McGregor landed two.

12: Career knockdowns for Poirier, who floored McGregor in the second frame just before securing the stoppage in the biggest win of his career to date.

7: KO/TKO victories at lightweight for Poirier, tying him with Edson Barboza and Melvin Guillard for the most in the history of the division at 155 pounds.

2,310: Days since McGregor and Poirier’s first meeting, a TKO victory for the “Notorious” one 1:46 into the opening round at UFC 178 on Sept. 27, 2014.

17: Significant strikes landed by Michael Chandler in an impressive Octagon debut. The former Bellator champ land 12 strikes to the head, four to the body and one to the leg en route to a TKO stoppage of Dan Hooker 2:30 into the opening round of the co-main event.

.700: Significant striking accuracy for Chandler, who landed 17 of 24 attempts. Hooker land eight of 19 significant strikes, a 42 percent clip.

3: Consecutive first-round KO/TKO wins for Chandler, who defeated Benson Henderson and Sidney Outlaw inside of the opening frame under the Bellator banner before his first Octagon foray.

5: Flyweight victories for Joanne Calderwood, tying her with Lauren Murphy for the fourth most in the history of the division. Valentina Shevchenko, Katlyn Chookagian and Gillian Robertson are tied for No. 1 with six wins apiece. Calderwood earned her fifth victory on Saturday, outpointing former title challenger Jessica Eye in a featured 125-pound affair.

148: Significant strikes landed by Calderwood, a career best in 12 UFC bouts and a promotion record for a three-round flyweight fight. By comparison, Eye landed 77. Calderwood has landed more than 100 significant strikes on five occasions in UFC competition.

43: Significant leg strikes landed by Calderwood. Eye landed just three.

14: Consecutive professional victories for Makhmud Muradov, a streak that includes three short-notice triumphs in the UFC. Muradov added to his resume with a third-round TKO of Andrew Sanchez in a featured middleweight contest on Saturday.

101: Combined significant strike advantage for Muradov in his first three UFC appearances, victories over Sanchez, Trevor Smith and Alessio Di Chirico.

10: Takedowns landed in 12 attempts by Arman Tsarukyan in a dominant decision triumph against Matt Frevola at lightweight. In earning his third consecutive UFC triumph, Tsarukyan also outlanded his foe 50 to 16 in significant strikes and 103 to 51 in total strikes.

13: Career UFC victories for Brad Tavares, tying him with Thales Leites, Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami for third most in the history of the middleweight division. Only Michael Bisping (16) and Anderson Silva (14) have won more at 185 pounds. Tavares defeated Antonio Carlos Jr. via unanimous decision.

11: Takedowns successfully defended by Tavares. Carlos Jr. landed his lone takedown of the bout in Round 2.

6: Bantamweight victories for Julianna Pena, tying her with Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey, Germaine de Randamie and Sara McMann for third most in the history of the UFC women’s 135-pound division. Only Amanda Nunes (11) and Raquel Pennington (eight) have won more. Pena defeated McMann via unanimous decision in a preliminary bout.

140: Total strikes landed by Pena. By comparison, McMann landed 28.

53: Significant strikes by which Marcin Prachnio outlanded Khalil Rountree in a unanimous decision at light heavyweight. Prachnio had lost each of his first three UFC appearaces by first-round KO/TKO.

137: Total strikes landed by Movsar Evloev in a three-round verdict against Nik Lentz at a 150-pound catchweight. Lentz, meanwhile, landed just 50 total strikes. Evloev outlanded his foe 37 to 8 in Round 1, 34 to 20 in Round 2 and 66 to 22 in Round 3. Evloev also held an 82-to-46 edge in significant strikes landed.
