It’s rare that a grudge match lives up to the hype with a fight worthy of the build up, but the UFC on FX 7 headliner delivered in ways many similarly-themed bouts do not.

Here’s how the MMA community reacted to the action in real time through the medium of Twitter:

Also, Old Dinosaur New Lion Mohawk Robot Alien Vitor is the best Vitor yet.

Still can't get over Vitor's rat-tail mohawk. Homeboy looks like he's about to audition for a remake of "The Warriors."

Vitor Belfort is a future Hall of Famer the same way Stephon Marbury is.

Oh, somebody hose me off. Violence explosion from Bibby Nurms the V Bringer.

Nobre has the biggest back of the head in the division.

That was BS!!! Pedro is an award winning actor and horrible call by Dan M

— Dana White (@danawhite) January 19, 2013

FIFA will be launching an investigation regarding Nobre's suspected dive.

Nik Lentz doesn't have the Internet? What does he do for his pornography needs? Go old school with magazines and VHS tapes?

— Ben Fowlkes (@benfowlkesMMA) January 20, 2013

Tough night for Diego Nunes. Fighting Lentz is the athletic equivalent of being waterboarded. Still, wrestling is best way to win in MMA.

separated at birth... andrew craig and gary oldman in true romance.....

— Robert Joyner (@robnashville) January 20, 2013

Andrew Craig is as sluggish as a blown out heavy, which is bad for a middleweight, but not bad for a guy who played in Slipknot.
