Seven Bouts Added to Glory 35 Lineup

Glory announced Tuesday afternoon the addition of seven fights to the entire Glory 35 card, which goes down in Nice, France on Nov. 5. Three of the announced bouts will fill up the proper Glory 35 card while the other four will be placed on the Glory 35 SuperFight Series undercard.

Headlining the entire event will be reigning Glory lightweight champion Sittichai (112-29-5, 30 KOs) putting his title on the line against Marat Grigorian (48-9-2, 29 KOs). It’s a rematch from a back-and-forth battle at Glory 28 where Sittichai won via unanimous decision.

Also slated for the main card will be local fighter Zinedine Hameur-Lain (56-13, 35 KOs) facing off against fellow light heavyweight Pavel Zhuravlev (69-11, 25 KOs) form the Ukraine. Hameur-Lain was impressive at Glory 32 when he knocked everybody out en route to winning the light heavyweight tournament and won both the “Fighter of the Night” and “Knockout of the Night” awards.

A one-night, four-man tournament to determine the next contender for the promotion’s heavyweight title will also commence. The first bout in the bracket will see Jahfarr Wilnis (29-7-1, 8 KOs) opposing Mladen Brestovac (50-11-1, 33 KOs); the other tourney bout has yet to be unveiled.

Headlining the Glory 35 SuperFight Series undercard will be a duel to determine the undisputed light heavyweight champion. Reigning champ Artem Vakhitov (16-5, 6 KOs) will lock horns with interim champ Zack Mwekassa (15-3, 13 KOs). Vakhitov has been battling injuries all year and has been out of action since Glory 28 in March.

The Glory Women’s Super Bantamweight Grand Prix will continue when Amel Dehby (27-0, 11 KOs) will collide with Ji-Waen Lee (13-2, 3 KOs). Rounding out the undercard, Karim Benmansour (46-6-2, 22 KOs) fighting Eyevan Danenberg (22-4, 11 KOs); and Josh Jauncey (25-7, 14 KOs) will take on Dylan Salvador (55-10-1, 27 KOs).

Additional matchups will be announced shortly. Glory 35 will be televised live on both ESPN3 and UFC Fight Pass, though exact times have yet to be revealed.
