If you watched the first fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Marcos Maidana, you will recall a bit of drama regarding which gloves the challenger was going to wear.

A little over 24-hours before the first encounter, the pay-per-view was nearly cancelled when Mayweather’s camp objected to the gloves Maidana had selected for the bout. After some debate, it was decided that Maidana would be forced to switch his original gloves and wear the Everlast Powerlock model.

This time around, Maidana will wear the same gloves he used in the first fight, which alleviates any potential last second changes.
