Lightweight Champ van Roosmalen to Defend Title vs. Sittichai at Glory 31
Glory 31 will take place on June 25 at the RAI Amsterdam in the
Netherlands, the promotion announced Thursday.
Headlining the event will be Glory lightweight champion Robin van Roosmalen (35-6, 19 KOs) defending his crown against Thai world champion Sittichai (108-29-5, 26 KOs). Ismael Londt (38-6-1, 18 KOs) will take on Hesdy Gerges in a heavyweight bout that will serve as the main card’s co-headliner.
Glory 31 will also unleash a four-man same-night Welterweight Contenders Tournament, with the winner getting a crack at Nieky Holzken’s title later in the year. The first bout of the bracket will see Murthel Groenhart (58-20-3, 33 KOs) taking on Karim Benmansour while the other side will have Yoann Kongolo (61-7, 45 KOs) going up against Harut Grigorian (50-9, 31 KOs).
The Glory 31 “Amsterdam” main card will be streamed live on ESPN3 though an exact time has not yet been announced. The Glory 31 SuperFight Series will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass, but Glory has yet to reveal any of the bouts.
