Glory Kickboxing has its sights set on Asia for brand expansion
later this year and in a logical move, the U.S.-based promotion has
inked deals with three Chinese fighters. Glory officials announced
the move Tuesday afternoon that the trio will make their
promotional debuts in Glory events scattered throughout the
spring.
“We are proud to announce the first of our athletes hailing from China, but this is only the beginning,” said Cor Hemmers, Managing Director Sports and Head of Talent Operations for Glory. “Our Talent Operations team will be scouting aggressively in the coming months, including the introduction of a training program in China, supervised by myself, to find and develop athletes fit for the highest levels of fighting. We are convinced that in the foreseeable future, Chinese fighters can place themselves among the top spots in multiple weight classes of the Glory rankings.”
Meng Qinghao (26-4, 6 KOs) will be the first of three to step foot
inside a Glory ring. The 23-year-old, who also serves as a member

Finally, the Glory 41 SuperFight Series will be the debut event for Chenglong Zhang (38-4, 11 KOs), who is also without an opponent as of now. The 19-year-old has already scooped up titles from The Legend of Emel, Max Muay Thai and TopKing.
