Cub Swanson, on “The Savage Dog Show,” discussing what it’s like to be on someone’s highlight video:

“That’s the risk we take. I accept that. I try to tell people that all the time. When you get in this sport, you think, ‘Oh man, I’m going to get to do this. I’m going to be famous.’ I’m like, ‘You’ve got to look at the other side. There are going to be haters all the time. There’s going to be people trying to bring you down. You might be on someone’s highlight reel for the rest of your life.’ These are the downsides that you have to be willing to take to get glory, to really make it. You have to be willing to take that risk, and if it happens, deal with it.”
