Freddie DeFreitas

Author name Beginning as an avid Boxing fan in his childhood years, writer Freddie DeFreitas grew his passion for combat sports (and badly awesome martial-arts flicks) into a career dedicated to writing and reporting on MMA since 2002. His journey in the sport has brought him around the world from Las Vegas to Tokyo. As a writer, his past contributing credits include ESPN.com, Kakutogi Tsushin, Authority Magazine and is currently a Canadian correspondent for Sherdog.com. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Freddie continues to live in the city where he grew up and is still known to watch the occasional classic martial arts flick when he isn't reporting on the most recent MMA events. You can follow him on twitter at @freddefreitas.
